CAReer – these six letters stand for both our groupwide trainee program and a concept that we fully believe in. To ensure you make the optimum use of the 12 to 15 months duration of the program, we tailor the finer details of the schedule to your expectations, abilities and goals.
At CAReer, you’ll complete three project phases, starting in the area for which you originally applied (target area). We schedule a "downstream" or "upstream" interface role for your third project assignment, giving you a more rounded Daimler experience (cross-functional). This allows you to extend your knowledge base along the entire supply chain.
The project assignments are not the only times when you'll come into contact with our operations outside China. Our "off-the-job" training modules also give you a taste of the company's multinational character through three times, each time 4 days intensive training courses and seminars which are held subsequently within your CAReer program.
Your core tasks as a trainee at Daimler are to learn and to become familiar with your target area, associated business areas, international locations and your many fellow trainees. Gaining an insight into different subject areas and processes and seeing how other people work is the only way to getting the full picture.
