We are looking for ambitious graduates (m/f) to develop their career in Shanghai, China via our Coatings Young Professionals Program China for positions in R&D, Production, Coatings Application Technology and customer Account Management.

What you can expect:
We offer you a flexible program for Young Professionals and recent graduates tailored to your talents, qualifications and your desired future position. 
For a duration of 12 to 18 months you will be based at the BASF Coatings headquarters in Muenster (Germany) before starting your career at BASF Coatings in China. During this time you will have the opportunity to prove your abilities and gain experience by taking up temporary positions in different operational or corporate units and in challenging projects worldwide.
This offers you the chance to become familiar with the variety of our worldwide company operations and to prepare yourself for taking up your target position at BASF Coatings in China after the 12 to 18 months program. Target positions are being offered in R&D, Production, Coatings Application Technology and Account Management.

What we expect:
- Self-starting, committed candidates who will enjoy working with business and technology interfaces and continually develop the company through their commitment
- Higher degree with achievements above average, especially:
  o Master degree in technical fields (such as Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Application Engineering)
  o Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Physical Chemistry
  o Master degree in commercial and business fields with a technical background
- Impressive educational achievements to date, relevant industrial placements
- Intercultural orientation
- Good negotiating skills in English, fluent in Chinese, knowledge of German is preferably at least intermediate
