Main tasks

- Work effectively as a dedicated team member in a joint development team including
  German engineers to develop new products for local market.

- Be responsible for designing and documenting of opto-mechanical or
  electrical sub-assembly groups by working closely with optical designers or
  electrical engineers.

- Participate in design review process and determine appropriate outsourced
  engineering tasks by working together with System Engineer and Project Leader

- Conduct and evaluate the proper experiments to solve engineering problems, i.e., test
  method for verifying the design.

- Collaborate with external component suppliers to optimize cost / performance.

- Learn basic product development process, cost optimisation process and 
  documentations for Microscopic devices through the project.

- Provide continuous engineering support after the product is transferred to production,
  and responsible for evaluating any relevant Engineering Change Request in the future.

General Requirement

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3-5
  years working experience in Mechanical Design.

- Competent in mechanical design using Pro-E  or knowledgeable about other 
  3-D CAD systems 

- Helpful experience with design and development of opto-mechanical devices and
  electrical components

- Good understanding of local manufacturing capability and capability to work with
  external partners

- Basic knowledge about optics is a big plus

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Strong analytic and problem solving skills

- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

- Readiness to travel in China and abroad

- Good command of English, both oral & written.
