Tasks
To ensure the proper implementation of material planning, control and shortage management.
Key Responsibility
• Material Planning and Control according to the production program, resource balancing, capacity and availability control of all parts.
• Shortage Management and usage of emergency strategies to assure in time delivery of all parts
• Safety stock implementation, control of stock level and supervision of inventory.
• Call off and coordination of deliveries to the plant and warehouses.
• Monitor claim costs.
• Supplier monitoring including the use of supply chain quality tools and trigger-inn of escalation process.
• Stock verification according to technical changes.
• Support to establish logistic quality team.
• Trigger and lead problem solving and improvement processes at the suppliers.
• Close contact to BMW AG departments and Suppliers in Germany.
• Initiate and lead projects within the department.
Qualification
• Bachelor degree or above, major in automotive engineering, logistics or related.
• Knowledge of logistics area, especially for material supply and material management
• Proficiency with material flow chart and process operation
• Competency of trigger and lead problem solving and improvement processes at the suppliers, Initiate and lead projects within the department
• Proficient English, German would be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills, such as fast learning, good communication, initiative and open minded.
• Background in logistics, Material Management, 4 to 6 years
• Experience with material planning, supply chain management, transport logistics, 4-6 years
