China is one of the most important locations for GETRAG worldwide. Ever since 2003 the company is active on the Chinese market. After ten years of rapid development, GETRAG founded two joint ventures with Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. in the provinces Jiangxi (Nanchang) and Hubei (Wihan). Jointly with its own holding company in Shanghai, GETRAG Asia Pacific (GAP) employs about 4.200 people.
The portfolio ranges from manual transmissions to dual clutch transmissions to different hybridization solutions, range extender systems and pure electric drives.
