Software Engineer

Headquartered in Germany, the RAPA company is a globally recognized engineering and technology partner and first choice system supplier for the automotive industry as well as numerous customers in the healthcare and industrial sectors – and has been for over 100 years. The product portfolio includes valves and complete mechatronic solutions for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. RAPA employs almost 1,000 people at its sites in Germany, the United States and China.

In terms of internationalization, RAPA expands to China and the RAPA Central plant in China will be built. The job will be trained in Selb (Germany) for at least 12 months and then based in Changzhou (China). It is defined as the designated software engineer for RAPA China factory. Therefore, in the training phase, two roles will be practiced.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

> Software commissioning and support of special machines and test benches

> Setup of robots, axes and handling systems

> Adjustment of sensors of any kind

Your Skills and Experiences

> Completed studies in the field of computer science , electrical engineering or automation technology (Bachelor, Master, Diploma).

> Knowledge of IEC 61131 e.g. TwinCAT 2 or 3 is an advantage,

> Knowledge in mechatronic systems

> Knowledge in relational database systems e.g. MySQL

> High sense of responsibility and personal responsibility

> Relevant professional experience in the field of automation desirable

> Structured and independent way of working

> Team and communication skills

> Confident handling of MS Office

> Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
